About the Organizer:
Prof. Wen-Chang Tsai graduated from Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology in June 1987 with a major in electrical engineering and automation. He furthered his studies, earning a master's degree in engineering from the University of Strathclyde in 1992 and a doctorate in engineering from Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan in 1997. Between 1993 and 1997, he worked as an electrical engineer at Siemens Taiwan Province Branch and China Iron and Steel Company in Taiwan Province, focusing on project planning and production line installation.
For 27 years, from 1997 to 2024, he served in the Department of Avionics at the Taiwan Province Air Force Institute of Technology, the Department of Telecommunications at Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology and School of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at Tan Kah Kee College of Xiamen University. During this time, he published a total of 86 international and domestic symposium journal papers and 32 SCI II/III/EI journal papers. Moreover, he guided students in their design and development work, leading them to success in various innovation competitions.
From 2019 to 2024, Tsai instructed student groups participating in numerous national competitions, achieving significant success. Throughout his career, he also held administrative roles such as head and deputy director of International Affairs Office.
Dr. Tsai has been actively involved in more than 18 scientific research programs for industry-university cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology programs, as well as initiatives under the Ministry of Economic Affairs. He has also contributed to foreign academic services by serving as an editorial reviewer for SCI international journal papers.
Currently serving as a master tutor at Xiamen University and a professor at Tan Kah Kee College of Xiamen University, Prof. Tsai has participated in international seminars across several countries. His engagements have included hosting conferences, reviewing papers, publishing articles, thereby facilitating knowledge exchange with experts worldwide.
